When should I send out my wedding invitations?
Wedding invitations are typically mailed 6-8 weeks before the big day. For destination weddings, 2-3 months notice is appropriate so that your guests have time to make their travel plans.
What do I need to know before ordering my invitations?
Please make sure to order 20% additional envelopes. Ask your stationer if the paper you’ve chosen is compatible with hand lettering. Some paper is better suited than others for the ink.
Are there any services you provide in addition to calligraphy?
Yes, in addition to hand lettering, I can also provide you with custom artwork as well as invitation assembly, stuffing and stamping.
Can you provide other lettering styles in addition to the ones listed on the styles page?
I can match any lettering style and ink color to what you have chosen for your invitation or event.
Can you provide calligraphy for people who are not in NJ?
Yes, I work for people all over the country. You can ship the envelopes to me, and then email me your guest list. I will ship the items back to you upon completion of your order.
What if there are mistakes on my guest list?
I will transcribe exactly what is on the list that I am given. Please make sure that your information is 100% correct before send it to me.
How should my guest list be prepared?
Lists should be in Word format and at least 12 pt. Times New Roman or Arial. Please consult a reputable etiquette guide for any formatting questions. List inner envelope information on the right-hand side as shown below:

Are envelopes with dark or patterned lining able to have hand calligraphy?
Yes, they are. I can work with many papers, lined or not.
How much time does it take to have custom hand calligraphy?
I require 2-3 weeks lead time for all orders, but I can usually accommodate rush orders when necessary.
When should I order place cards, escort cards and table names or numbers?
Ideally, the order should be placed when we first discuss invitations. Typically these items are completed 1-2 weeks before the event date.
What other calligraphy services do you offer?
Many! I can create custom invitations, programs, menus, table names with custom artwork, poems and much more. I would be delighted to discuss any project you have in mind.
